Utica Silicates manufactures Sodium Silicate products serving industrial and commercial markets. Originally built in 1927 but continually upgraded and expanded including tanks and furnaces. No. 3 furnace gets completely reconstructed every 4 years.
In 2008 PQ Corporation sold the plant to
Oak Hill Holdings. The plant is wholly owned and operated by Oak Hill Acquisition Co. LLC, d/b/a Utica Silicates.
